Description

The Bromley memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 0.15 meters north of the organ chamber of the Church of St Thomas in Great Hanwood. It dates from around 1836 and is made of limestone. The tomb has a rectangular plan with a moulded plinth and capping, featuring a steep chamfered top ledger and fluted corner pilasters. It commemorates Benjamin Bromley, who died in 1836, along with various other family members. This memorial is included for its group value.
