Description

Park Cottage is a house dating to the 16th century, located in Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury. It is timber-framed with a plain tiled roof. The house has two storeys and a gable facing the lane. The frame is composed of square panels, four panels high and six in length. The rear has been extended or renewed in brick, with brick infill panels. Arch bracing is present in the gable. A door is situated in the gable to the left, beneath a vestigial canopy hood, with a three-light casement window in a projecting case alongside. A two-light casement window is in the projecting case to the first floor, and another to the attic in the gable apex. A doorway is present in the side wall, above which is a fixed-light window.
