Coach And Horses

The Coach and Horses is a public house located on Shropshire Street in Market Drayton, Shropshire. This building dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of red brick, with the ground floor and a band painted. It features a plain tile roof and stands three storeys high, topped with a dentil brick eaves cornice and external brick end stacks.

The front of the building has two windows, with glazing bar sashes that have 16 panes on the first floor, all set with painted stone cills and lintels. On the ground floor, there are two early 19th-century multi-paned bow windows, each surrounded by fluted pilasters with lozenges on the capitals, a frieze, and a moulded cornice.

The entrance is roughly central and consists of a six-panelled door with panelled reveals and soffit. It is framed by a moulded architrave with reeded square corner blocks, a frieze with reeded end sections, and a moulded cornice leading to a triangular pediment. An inn sign hangs from a wrought-iron bracket.
