Description
The privy and attached garden wall, located 13 metres north of Aston Hall, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble, with a stone rubble garden wall featuring brick coping. The building has a corrugated sheet roof with moulded oak bargeboards on the front gable. The privy is square in plan and is situated at the north-west end of the garden wall, which encloses a courtyard on the north-west side of Aston Hall.
On the exterior, the front gable-end features a moulded oak door frame with a plain boarded door that has a moulded ledge. There are ogee-chamfered oak windows on the side walls. The rear gable includes two stone round-arched openings positioned at low level.
Inside, there is a range of three softwood seats with hinged lids, and the roof is supported by a single purlin and ridge.
