18/148 Teese Memorial and - railed enclosure approx. 14 metres to south of Church of Saint Andrew

Chest tomb and railed enclosure. Dated 1825. Grey sandstone ashlar. Sarcophagus type. Globe feet, moulded plinth, reeded corner piers, moulded cornice, chamfered top and large urn finial with carved paterae and rope ornament. Recessed side panels with bead ornament and recessed end panels with carved paterae. Inscribed: "In Respectful Memory of/ WILLIAM TEESE late of SLEAP HALL GENT/who died August the 21st 1825 Aged 30 years". Wrought-iron railed enclosure; square-section spearhead railings and square-section standards with curved stanchions and urn finials.
