Stable Range Approximately 20 Metres West of Southallbank Farmhouse

This stable range, located approximately 20 meters west of Southallbank Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and was extended in the late 18th or early 19th century. It features a weatherboarded timber frame and red brick construction, with a squared-stone plinth in parts and a plain-tile roof. The building is arranged in an L-plan, likely consisting of 7 by 3 bays, and is a single storey with a loft, primarily constructed of brick on the ground floor.

The left range has five stable doors, with a loft opening above, while the right side has one door with a loft opening above it. The left end bay, which is the earlier section, includes a stone plinth and close-studded timber framing on the ground floor, as well as a window. The rear of the stable range features three doors, windows, and loft doors. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have close-studded framing in a partition wall. This building is included for its group value.
