Description
This is a mid-17th century house, later divided into two dwellings at numbers 20 and 21 Dinham, Ludlow, with an 18th-century addition to the second storey of number 20. The building is timber-framed with plaster infill and has a Welsh slate roof, with plain clay tiles to number 21 and an 18th-century brick stack along the ridge.
Number 20 is three storeys high and has a two-window front. It features restored 18th-century casement windows with leaded lights and moulded architraves to the upper floors. The entrance to the left has a 19th-century plank door, while a similar window sits to the right. A 20th-century leaded casement is located on the far right. Number 21 is a single-storey building with an attic. The entrance is on the left with a 20th-century plank door and a light, while a 20th-century lattice-leaded light is to the right. A 20th-century box dormer sits above with lattice-leaded lights.
The rear of number 20 reveals exposed 18th-century timber framing to the upper portion, along with leaded lights. The rear of number 21 features a three-light mullion window with lattice-leaded lights. The interior of number 20 retains exposed timber framing and ceiling beams.
