Description

A house dating from the early 17th century. The original structure is timber-framed with brick infill, covered by a plain tile roof. It has a stone axial stack and a brick chimney to the rear. The house is two storeys high, originally with a two-window front. The left side has 19th-century windows, while the right side features 20th-century two-light casements. The central entrance has a part-glazed 19th-century door within a 20th-century gabled porch, flanked by further 20th-century three-light casements. The side elevations show timber-frame and brickwork, with an altered rear roof pitch. A single-story outshut to the left is constructed of stone rubble, with a brick end stack, a bread oven, and a 19th-century two-light casement. A stone lean-to to the rear has two 20th-century roof dormers. Inside, there is an 18th-century winder stair, deep-chamfered ceiling beams with ogee stops, chamfered joists, and a stone fireplace with an oak beam.
