Description

Tudor Cottage is a cottage that has been divided, dating from the mid to late 17th century with some alterations from the late 19th century. It features a timber frame with plastered and brick infill and has a slate roof. The framing consists of square panels, with three extending from the sole plate to the wall plate, and it has two framed bays. The building is one storey with an attic, featuring a raking semi-dormer on the left with a 20th-century two-light small-paned casement, and an altered raking dormer on the right. The front has two windows; a 20th-century two-light small-paned casement on the left and a late 20th-century window on the right with a top light.

On the left-hand gable end, there is a half-glazed 20th-century door to the right and a late 20th-century gabled porch that is dated 1677. Inside, there is an exposed collar and tie-beam truss with queen struts. To the right, there is a late 19th-century two-storey rendered brick addition that features a dentil brick eaves cornice and an external brick end stack. Each floor of this addition has a two-light wooden casement, with the ground floor window having a segmental head, and there is a four-panelled door to the left. The rear framing of No. 6 has brick infill, while No. 7 is rendered, and there are lean-to additions. The interiors have not been inspected.
