Description

Number 97 on Cartway is an 18th-century building that was refronted in the early 19th century. It features painted brickwork and a tiled roof, standing two storeys high with an attic. The second storey has a painted imitation timber frame and plaster finish. There are three casement windows with cambered heads, an early 19th-century box bay window, and a later casement window topped with a plain wood cornice. The entrance has a plain wood doorcase with steps leading up to it. The building also has three gabled dormers and plain wood eaves. It is included for its group value.
