Description
The United Methodist and Congregational Church was built in 1843. It is constructed from blue brick and grey painted brick, and is of two storeys. The facade features a pediment and four brick pilasters. It has three windows with semi-circular heads and cast iron glazing bars, and a plain stone doorcase with a cornice hood supported on consoles, enclosing double doors, each with two panels. A stone tablet inscribed "Wesley Chapel" is present above a tablet showing the construction date. The building originally served as a Methodist Church. It forms a group with numbers 2 to 14, 16 to 26, and 29 to 32 on the south and west side of Cartway.
