House. Mid-C15 with later additions and alterations. Timber framed, partly of cruck construction, with painted brick infill, plain tile roofs. T-plan comprising one bay of truncated former open hall with a 2-bay solar to north. Two storeys; framing: close studding with middle rail and curved tension braces to solar; hall range brick clad but part of cruck blade visible at south-east corner; fenestration all late C19 and C20, front (former solar) has two 2-light casements to first floor and one single-light casement to left of central entrance; late C19 gable brick porch with ogee outer arch and pointed wooden finial, C20 half-glazed door; external red brick end stack to right and one behind ridge to left, both with three attached diamond shafts, probably late C19, but similar external stack to gable of hall range is probably late C16 or early C17. Interior: not inspected, but likely to be of interest. Alcock (1981), p.l43.
