Description

The former smithy, now disused, likely dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of uncoursed sandstone rubble with red brick at the eaves, topped by a plain tile hipped roof that features two integral red brick stacks on the back wall. The building has two levels and a three-window front, with shuttered eaves hatches and shuttered segmental-headed openings on the ground floor. There is a central entrance with a segmental head, which has a late 20th-century door. Late Victorian additions to the left are not considered to have special architectural interest.
