Description
This is a barn and two cowsheds located approximately 5 metres west of the churchyard of All Saints in Church Stretton. The barn dates from the 17th century, while the cowsheds were built in the 18th and 19th centuries. The structure features a weatherboarded timber frame and stone rubble with plain-tile roofs. The barn is aligned east-west, with the cowshed wings extending south and north from the west end of the barn.
On the exterior, the weatherboarded timber-framed barn sits on a stone rubble plinth and consists of four framed bays with a single trenched-purlin roof. It has boarded doors and loft openings. The south cowshed has a weatherboarded timber frame set on stone rubble lower courses, while the north cowshed features stone rubble walls and an open bay adjacent to the barn. The interior has not been inspected.
