Description

No. 43 Cross Street is a former police station built around 1840. The building is constructed of red brick and has two storeys. It features two sash windows set within stuccoed architraves that have cambered heads, keyblocks, and sills supported by brackets. At the center of the building, there is a rectangular tablet that currently lacks an inscription. The entrance has a plain pilaster doorcase with a radial fanlight above, a plain entablature, a cornice, and a four-panelled door. The eaves are moulded, and the roof is hipped and covered with slate.
