Description

No. 23 on Cross Street is an early 19th-century building that has undergone some later alterations. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys tall. The facade features two sash windows, which do not have glazing bars on the second storey, and these are topped with plain lintels. The entrance is highlighted by a moulded wood doorcase that includes a three-light rectangular fanlight. Below this, there is a later shop window, all of which is set beneath a cornice. The building is finished with moulded stone eaves and a blocking course.
