Description

No 17 and the Swan Hotel is a late 18th-century building with later alterations, located on the west side of Cross Street. It is constructed of painted brick and stucco, featuring two storeys and an attic. No 17 has two later casement windows, while the Swan Hotel has three renewed sash windows, all set in flat shaped surrounds with cambered heads. The Swan Hotel also includes a sill band at the first floor and an early 19th-century moulded wood pilaster doorcase with a small cornice and a six-panelled door. The building has corbelled eaves and four box dormers.
