Description

The building at 4 and 6 High Street dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a slate roof, and has three storeys. The front features three tall sash windows with simple face-moulded lintels. A good quality, moulded wooden doorcase features an elaborate side-lights, all contained beneath a four-centred arch with a radial fanlight. A two-window wing, matching in character, was added to the right-hand side (now number 4), along with a later 19th-century shop front. The building has moulded stone eaves.
