Description

This is a late 16th or early 17th century building, with later alterations. It was formerly the White Lion Public House. The building is timber-framed and painted brick, with two storeys. It has two early 19th century, plain three-light casement windows. A plain gable is visible to the left. The ground floor features two early 19th century casement windows with arched lights, a moulded wooden doorcase with an early 17th century carved surround and canopy on brackets (which are not currently in situ), and a ledged door. The roof is slate. The interior retains exposed ceiling beams and significant timber framing throughout, including framed partitions with wattle-and-daub infilling.
