Description

The game larder, built between 1826 and 1842 for Charles Kynaston Mainwaring, is a single-storey structure with a square plan. It is constructed of red brick and features a pyramidal slate roof topped with an onion-shaped finial. Each side of the larder has two sets of two-tiered iron-barred windows, and there is a central square-headed doorway at the front. The associated house, Oteley Park, was designed in an Elizabethan style on the site of an earlier building and was constructed between 1826 and 1830, with extensions added in 1842; it was demolished around 1960.
