Description
The sundial stands to the south-east of St Mary's Church within the churchyard. Dated 1726, it comprises a stone baluster of a vase shape, set upon a two-tiered stone base and topped with a stone basin capped with a bronze dial. The bronze dial is inscribed with the date '1726', the names of the churchwardens from 1726 around its inner face, and the maker’s name, ‘Edward Bullock fecit’. It features a gnomon, which is slightly damaged. The sundial contributes to the group value of the adjacent Grade I listed Church of St. Mary.
