Description

21 and 23 Church Street are a pair of substantial town houses dating from the early 19th century. They are built of red brick and stand three storeys high. The front features five sash windows with cambered heads; the second storey windows have stuccoed sunk segments. There are two identical moulded wood pilaster doorcases with panelled reveals, each topped with a three-light rectangular fanlight, and steps leading up to the doors. The ground storey has three round-headed windows. The eaves are plain, and the roofs are covered with slates. There are also mutilated 19th-century iron railings extending over the forecourt.
