Description
This cowshed, located approximately 70 meters northeast of Cruckton Hall, is likely from the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with crow-step gables. The building has two levels and includes a dentilled eaves cornice. There are two segmental-headed doorways on the left and right, with one doorway in the center now blocked. The structure also has three eaves hatches and an inserted cart entrance with a massive timber lintel on the left side. The back wall contains five rows of cross-shaped air vents, along with owl holes in the gable ends, and six rows of air vents beneath on the north side. Inside, the cowshed has a king post roof spanning four bays, with a timber-framed cross-wall that divides the second and third bays from the south.
