Description

This building, number 54 High Street, Bridgnorth, was likely constructed in the mid-20th century with a modern facade designed to imitate traditional timber framing. The side elevation exhibits exposed timber framing painted black with white infill panels. The appearance is deliberately picturesque, incorporating old windows and contributing to a cohesive "black and white" courtyard setting with the adjacent building at number 55. Its appearance complements nearby buildings at numbers 50, 51 (the Swan Inn), and numbers 53 to 57, forming a visually unified group.
