Description

The Town Hall, dating from around 1650, features a timber frame and plaster construction set on an open arcade of stone, which has been later faced with painted brick. It includes moulded wood mullioned and transomed windows with leaded lights, carved figures on pilasters, buttresses, and gabled ends, along with one gabled dormer. There are clock belfries located to the north and south. The framed structure was originally a barn that was moved here from Much Wenlock. It stands as a picturesque feature in the center of the street.
