Description

No. 51 High Street is an early 17th-century building featuring a post and panel timber frame with plaster. It has two storeys, with the upper storey overhanging. The façade includes two early 19th-century sash windows and two restored gabled dormers, all beneath a tiled roof. The building originally housed an open shop with a slated pentice roof that extends over the adjoining Swan Inn. No. 51, along with Nos. 50 and 51, the Swan Inn, and Nos. 53 to 57, form a cohesive group of historic structures.
