Description

BASCHURCH C.P. CHURCH ROAD (south side) SJ 42 SW 15/16 Sundial approx. 8m south - of south aisle of Church of All Saints GV II Sundial. Probably late C18 with brass plate and gnomon of 1912 by F. Barker and Son of Clerkenwell Road, London. Sandstone. Dumpy vase-shaped baluster with moulded plinth and capping on 2 circular steps. Inscription around octagonal rim of plate reads "IN MEMORIAM W.M.S. AETAT 31 1912 WATCH! FOR YE KNOW NOT THE HOUR".
