SO57SW Memorial to C Walker and railings 482-1/9/44 2m north of chancel of Church of St Mary

GV II

Chest tomb and surrounding railings. Mid C19. Commemorates Caroline Walker, daughter of Charles Walker of Ashford Court, d.1847. Sandstone ashlar with cast-iron railings. Pyramid lid on moulded lip. Plain inscribed panels with remnants of white paint and black letters. Fluted corner sections. Plain plinth. Railings with square-section main corner and mid standards with spear-head finials with double barbs. Mid standards with ogee braces. Square-section balusters with single barb. Plain top and bottom rail. Plain ashlar plinth.
