Description

The cider house, dating from the 17th century, is located approximately 5 metres north-east of Upper Wythall. It features timber-framing, with a plinth and south gable wall made of sandstone, topped by a pantile roof. The building has two storeys and is framed in two rows of square panels. The west wall includes two windows and a door positioned towards the right. Inside, the upper storey is supported by plain cross-beams of heavy scantling. The roof consists of four bays with tie-beam trusses and raking struts. Notably, there are two cider mills present: one retains only its stone base, while the other is complete with an axle and stone roller.
