Description

This barn, located approximately 15 meters south-east of Great Trewen Farmhouse, dates from the mid- to late 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a roof covered with double Roman tiles. The barn has a rectangular plan oriented north to south, consisting of seven bays with a central threshing floor. There are two rows of loop vents and a symmetrical arrangement of vents on the south gable, which also includes a later inserted pitching opening. The interior is supported by collar-and-tie-beam trusses with short raking struts.
