Description
This cowshed and hay loft, located about 60 yards east-north-east of Church Farmhouse, likely dates from the 18th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble and features a timber frame with brick infill, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The building has a rectangular plan that runs roughly north to south. The west elevation includes five columns that support a timber-framed wall, which has two panels extending from the cill to the wall-plate. Near the center of this wall, there are two loft openings that are symmetrically placed. The gable walls are made of rubble. The structure is situated close to the Church of St Weonard.
