Description

Shelwick House is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble, with later brick additions, and features hipped roofs covered in tiles and Welsh slate. The original rectangular plan was expanded in the 19th century to create two parallel ranges, which include end stacks and a central entrance. The building has two storeys and attics, with two gabled dormers that have 2-light glazing bar casements, and three additional 2-light glazing bar casements. The central entrance is accentuated by a lean-to wooden porch with a ledged door.
