Description

The bridge over Cage Brook, located in Clehonger, is possibly from the early 19th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with dressed sandstone elements. The bridge features a single span that runs in a north-north-east to south-south-west direction, with a dressed semi-circular headed arch and a sandstone rubble parapet. Due to its location in a deep ravine, there is a significant area of masonry between the arch and the parapet. A large abutment is present on the west side. Note that the northern half of this bridge is listed under Eaton Bishop.
