Description

This is a headstone dating from the late 18th century, located approximately 3 metres east of the chancel of the Church of St Giles in Goodrich. Made of sandstone, the headstone features a shaped top with a single cherub and a cartouche that includes a convex inscription panel. It commemorates Elizabeth, the wife of William Roberts, who died in 1773. This headstone is a fine example of local craftsmanship and contributes to the overall setting of the church.
