Description
The building is a coach-house, cottage, and tack-room located about 30 yards west of Perrycroft Lodge. It was designed around 1900 by C F A Voysey and is currently used as garages and offices. The structure features roughcast walls and applied timber-framing, topped with a 45-degree hipped green slate roof. It has a battered end stack and a louvred ridge ventilator, along with a lead-roofed cupola that supports a flat-topped finial with a weather cock. The layout is in an 'L' shape, with a single storey on the west side and two storeys on the east. The west part includes five contiguous 12-pane pivoted windows on the right side and full-height carriage doors in the center and left, separated by a battered buttress. The east part has a close-studded upper storey, with casements grouped in threes on both the ground and upper storeys of the south front. There is a ground floor entrance to the west, which is sheltered by a canopy above the first-floor opening for the tack-room. This building forms a group with the stables immediately to the west and north, as well as Perrycroft itself.
