Description

The Barn House is an 18th-century building located on the north side of New Street. It is constructed of red brick and features a tiled roof, with a clipped gable on the left side of the front. The house has two storeys and four windows, which are sashes set in moulded cases. The entrance includes a door with a shaped pediment, a rectangular fanlight with radial glazing bars, and a panelled door. To the right and far left of the entrance are wide three-light sashes with glazing bars. The Barn House is part of a group that includes Nos 7 to 15 (odd), Lanark House, The Steppes, and stables west of No 19.
