Description

Linden House is an early 19th-century building located on New Street. It is two storeys high and has a stuccoed exterior with five windows featuring 12-pane sashes. The entrance door is off-centre and has fielded panels with bolection moulding, flanked by slender Ionic columns. Above the door is a modillion cornice under an arched fanlight with radial glazing bars. The building has a moulded eaves cornice with modillions and a low-pitched slate roof with gabled ends, along with a brick chimney stack. Linden House is part of a group that includes No 12 Old Talbot Inn, Vine House, Nos 18 to 24 (even), a barn at the rear of No 24, No 26, Glenmoir, and Alviston House.
