Description
House adjoining The Rock is a 17th-century building located in Lugwardine. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill, a sandstone plinth, and a tiled roof. The house has four bays that run north to south, with a west lateral stack that has been incorporated into the adjoining house. There is an outshut on the south side of the east front and a lean-to on the south gable end. The north gable end has been rebuilt to include a garage entry. The building is single storey with an attic, featuring three dormer windows with 2-light casement windows, a 2-light window to the left, and a 3-light window in brick refacing to the right of a ledged door with a moulded architrave. There are three additional windows to the right. The framing is fairly complete, originally consisting of three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, with V-struts in the south gable. The adjoining late 19th-century house is not of special architectural interest.
