Description

The Brown memorial is a chest tomb located about 20 metres north of the apse of the Church of St Peter. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features corner balusters and oval inscription panels with paterae in the corners. It has a moulded cornice and a flat top. The inscription reads: "In/ Memory of Thomas Brown late/ of this Parish who departed this Life leaving a Wife and/ seven children to lament the loss the 12 of July/ 1800 aged 57 years."
