Description

This is a 17th-century farmhouse, located approximately 100 metres west of New Brook Farmhouse. The building is in a ruinous condition. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with a Welsh slate roof and has a rectangular plan aligned east/west, facing south. A projecting porch is situated on the south front, and a slightly projecting stair turret is located on the north side of the west gable end, with gable-end stacks. The farmhouse has two storeys and attics. The south front features two 3-light casement windows, with traces of former mullions, flanking the two-storey gabled porch. A loop vent is visible on the upper floor of the porch, and square-headed wooden doorways are present. Inside, a stone winder staircase, plank- and-muntin panelled partitions, and chamfered ceiling beams are visible. The farmhouse underwent alterations in the late 19th century.
