Description

The former Three Horseshoes Public House and adjoining shop, located at 14 and 15 Corn Square in Leominster, is a building dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th to 20th centuries. It features a timber-frame construction with render and a plain tile roof that has a gable on the left side, along with a brick stack at the rear.

The building stands two storeys high with a cellar and has a four-window range. It includes 18th-century eight-over-eight sash windows in moulded cases, and on the left, there is a late 19th-century two-over-two sash window in a moulded case, with a fixed light above it. The late 19th-century inn front has a half-glazed panelled door and windows with etched glass, all beneath a moulded fascia board and hood supported by pilasters. To the left, there is an early 20th-century shop front featuring a half-glazed panelled door and a window with chamfered glazing bars, topped by a 20th-century coved hood.

The right side of the building features a returned inn front under a jetty, showcasing an exposed dragon beam and soffits, along with an etched glass light and a 20th-century restoration. There is also a further gable wing that has a 20th-century three-light casement window above modern lights and a door set within earlier moulded architraves.

The interiors have not been inspected. The shop, which was previously listed as the Grange Cafe, was first listed on July 9, 1976.
