Description

This is a barn located about 30 yards south of Lane Farmhouse, likely built in the 18th century. It features a timber frame with weatherboards and a pantiled roof, consisting of three bays that are aligned roughly east to west. The north elevation has full-height ledged entrance doors in the center bay. Inside, there are raking struts connecting the ties to the principals, and the frame is made of thin scantling with diagonal members across the posts. The barn is included for its group value with Lane Farmhouse and the adjacent granary, which together create three sides of a quadrangle.
