Description
Upper Court Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and modern updates. It features a timber-frame construction with brick infill and a slate roof. The building has an external local stone stack with a detached brick chimney on the left side and a late 19th-century brick chimney on the right. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays.
On the west elevation, there are mid- and late 20th-century casement windows, one on either side of a central gabled entrance porch, and three additional casement windows on the first floor. At the rear, there is a single-storey late 20th-century extension. The framing consists of three panels, which are likely from the late 17th century, raised by an additional panel to accommodate second-floor windows that were probably added in the mid-19th century.
