Description
This is a 17th-century barn, located approximately 10 metres north-west of Stretton Grange. It has undergone alterations in the 18th or early 19th century and further changes in the 20th century. The barn is timber-framed, with a sandstone plinth and infill of sandstone, brick, wattle-and-daub, and woven cleft oak. It has a tiled roof. The building consists of five bays aligned east/west, with lean-tos on the left side, centrally located around a threshing floor. An open lean-to is situated to the right. The right-hand bay contains a cider mill and press. An inserted floor features later dropped tie-beam trusses with vertical struts to the collar.
