Description

The barn at Bury Farmhouse is a 17th-century structure that has undergone some late 18th-century alterations and mid-20th-century repairs. It features a timber frame with woven infill, covered in weatherboarding, and topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn consists of five framed bays running north to south, with a threshing floor located in the center of the three northern bays, which includes full-height double doors. The south gable has been rebuilt using rubble. The framing consists of three and four square panels in height, and the intermediate roof trusses are supported by two raking struts. The farmhouse is now known as Lustonbury.
