Description

The structure consists of a base and shafts located about 15 yards west of Hawk's Nest. These elements likely date from the 13th century and are made of moulded sandstone. The remains include a water-holding base and the stumps of three shafts, which are probably from the demolished Wormsley Priory, as noted in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments, Volume III, page 215.
