Description

Tenby House comprises two houses, now used as a guest house and offices, built in the later 18th century. The brick construction is topped with a slate roof and features brick stacks to the front.

Number 8 is three storeys high, with a cellar, and has a two-window front. It features 20th-century four-light casement windows under gauged brick flat arches, and 2/2 sash windows on the upper floor. The front door is a 6-panel design, set within a simple case, and is sheltered by a moulded hood supported on consoles. A 2/2 sash window sits alongside it, also under a gauged brick flat arch. The building has a stone plinth, including an opening for the cellar.

Number 10 is three storeys high and has a four-window front. It features 4/4 sash windows, three of which are set under gauged brick flat arches, and one under a segmental arch. The windows have stone sills, and there are casements above them. A central 6-panel door is framed by a semicircular grooved brick arch, topped with an open pediment hood on consoles. The building also has a stone plinth.

Inside Number 8, the ground floor features a reeded cornice and panelled window risers with pilaster architraves. Following a fire, the interior was remodelled around 1980.
