Description
Church House is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century. It features a timber-frame structure with brick and plaster infill, topped by a slate roof that is hipped to the left. The building has two local stone end stacks, each with detached brick shafts. It has a rectangular plan oriented roughly north to south, with a barn and cider house attached to the east side of the north end.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows, probably arranged in three structural bays. The west elevation displays a regular arrangement of 2-light late 20th century casements, except for the central ground floor, which has three-light windows. The entrance is located to the left of centre, accessed through a mid-20th century ledged door beneath an early 20th century gabled hood. The framing consists of four panels high from the cill to the wall-plate, with variations in alignment and proportion across each bay.
