Description

The Cloisters is an early 18th-century building constructed of red brick with a tiled roof featuring gable ends. It has two storeys and an attic, with a window arrangement of 4:1:6. The central section of the façade breaks forward slightly and is topped with a small pediment. The windows are casement style, equipped with transoms and mullions, and are set beneath segmental brick arches. There is a band between the storeys. The building has two fielded panel doors; the central door includes a rectangular fanlight, while the right-hand door has a segmental brick head. A later gabled dormer is present on the roof. At the rear, there is a central gabled wing and old chimneys. Inside, the staircase features turned balusters and plain newels. To the right (east) end, there is a small one-bay wing made of stone rubble, also with a tiled roof and gabled end, which includes modern garage doors and an end wall with a loft door and window with shutters.
