Description

This is a detached outbuilding located at the rear of numbers 14 and 15 on High Street. It was re-erected from part of the former Butchers' Row, which was demolished around 1835-1840. The building dates back to the late 16th century and features a timber frame with closely spaced studding and plastered panels. It has a tiled roof with gabled ends and the first floor oversails on brackets. The structure is two storeys high and includes various later windows, with brick nogging in the end wall. The Market House and all the listed buildings on the east side of High Street create a cohesive group.
